Any man can buy flowers for his bride on Valentine's Day...
I told I grew this for her! 😁
I'm having fun with these brassicas in our winter garden. I planted most of these seeds in November and they survived the freezes like a champ.
So far I have harvested one cabbage and one cauliflower, but there are more of each coming down the pipe.
It's fun because it still gives me garden work in the winter and those leaves get huge!!
I have brussel sprouts and broccoli coming along as well. Thinking they will be ready next month.
I planted arugula and kale too, they're 3-4 inches tall and doing well.
Beets, carrots and cilantro also doing well in the cold.
My advice if you want to grow all of these in winter? Start them in pots in October and transplant out in the garden around Thanksgiving.
Mine did ok, but they were really small in the cold months and it caused them to grow slowly.
