Today started with freezing fingers but it’s turning into great working conditions

There’s a large crossover between auto detailing and boat cleaning - besides a few different products the principle is the same:

“Minimum effect dose”

This means things like using ph-balanced soaps and mild cleaners if they are sufficient.

Degreasers and high alkaline cleaners encourage degradation and re-soiling faster on boat vinyl. Often they are needed due to neglect to “reset” the material but it only furthers the damage if it is not followed with a proper protection product.

This one is getting cleaned and closed up for the rest of winter. It’s little overdue but is cleaning very easy due to the last time I did the proper process!

How does our Off-Grid detailing setup work?

Our safe process (for your car and enviorment) uses low-water amounts and high quality products to ensure a clean and protected ride no matter what it’s been through from vacations to daily commuting.

We carry 25 gallons of filtered water (only 8-15 per vehicle) to prevent spots, and our own gas generator to power the vacuum, steam machine and power washer (only 1800psi and 1.2GPM - safe power level as to not do any damage to any vehicles)

Interior cleaning is simple with good towels, steam, and ph-balanced APC, vacuum, and a variety of brushes. Many people over-complicate this processs with many products and over-doing it with aggressive methods. Often resulting in actually degrading the interior materials. (Which seem to be getting more and more sensitive on newer cars)

Exterior washing is also kept simple, with simple soap or rinseless wash, spray wax, wheel/tire cleaner, clean water, and good towels. This low-touch process preserves the long term life of the vehicles new-car feel and shine.
