I plan out my life like anyone else. As I’ve become more experienced, I’ve gotten better at planning. Sometimes life takes place and those plans become irreparable, unobtainable, hopeless and impossible to do. Growing up, the idea was planted that if plans fail, it’s because you didn’t try hard enough. It’s of course BS. I give 100% at everything I do. Plans fail anyways, because, there are things I have no control over. That’s life.

I’ve gotten good at recognizing when plans are no longer going to work and when it’s time to move on to the next plan. Having a failed plan doesn’t make a person a failure. Successful people fail more than they succeed. Clinging to a failed plan, because I’m emotionally invested, that’ll lead me to ruin.

I’ll move on to plan B,C,D and Z 4th time through the alphabet. Quitting a failed plan, doesn’t make me a quitter, but, if I quit planning after plan A fails… well, that’s being a quitter.

I don’t believe in going down with the ship. I’ll get my people to safety and watch it sink from a new ship.
