As temperatures rise, it’s important to know the signs of heatstroke in cats. Heatstroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening very quickly.

Keep your cats cool, provide plenty of fresh water, and never leave them in hot, enclosed spaces.

If you notice any of the warning signs below, begin cooling your cat safely and seek veterinary care immediately.

Meet the real-life Morris! 🧡

This outgoing ginger boy could easily pass for the famous 9Lives cat—or maybe he's Morris's long-lost twin! He looks like he walked right out of a 9Lives commercial.

He'll be heading to the vet today and will be available for adoption this week!

**Who was Morris?**

Morris the Cat is the iconic orange tabby mascot for 9Lives, famously known as "the world's most finicky cat." The original Morris (originally named Lucky) was adopted from a shelter in 1968, and every cat to play Morris since has also been a rescue.

🐾 Every Morris has been a rescued shelter cat.
🎬 Starred in the 1973 film *Shamus* with Burt Reynolds.
🗳️ Ran mock presidential campaigns in 1988 and 1992.
