In June, we recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of Community Health Workers (CHWs) who make a difference in the lives of families every day.

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a special luncheon in honor of our two outstanding Community Health Workers, T and Kelly. As trusted members of the community, they play a vital role in connecting pregnant women and mothers of newborns to essential resources, education, and support services.

Their dedication helps improve maternal and infant health outcomes and supports our ongoing efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates throughout Stark County. Through their compassion, advocacy, and commitment, T and Kelly are helping families thrive and building healthier communities for future generations.

🧠 Know the Signs of a Stroke — Act FAST 🧠

A stroke can happen to anyone, at any age, and every second counts. Knowing the warning signs could save a life.

Remember the acronym FAST:

🔹 F – Face Drooping: Does one side of the face droop or feel numb?
🔹 A – Arm Weakness: Is one arm weak or numb?
🔹 S – Speech Difficulty: Is speech slurred or hard to understand?
🔹 T – Time to Call 911: If you notice any of these signs, call 911 immediately.

Other symptoms may include sudden confusion, severe headache, dizziness, trouble walking, or vision changes.
