Locally Grown Roses

Roses are a staple of floral design due to their size, variety, how long they last after harvest, and their constant availability through wholesalers from farms in South America.

So why bother with grown my own Roses?
In Georgia, rose bushes take a lot of pressure from diseases and pests in our humid, biodiverse environment (Japanese beetles can, as a whole, kick rocks). They need a lot of nutrients to flower properly, and should be pruned every late winter.

But they are so worth it.
For the smell alone, I'd keep planting Roses, and im able to grow the more delicate varieties that you can't get wholesale.

Buy local, it's worth it!
