There has been a lot of sermons lately about what music we allow to entertain us. If you think that music has no effect on your christian walk then you haven't read your bible. There are many stories of music playing a big part in the breakthrough or healing in the bible.

David played his harp that he used to worship God when he used to tend his sheep to help Saul be released from his tormenting Spirits. It says that the moment he played the tormenting spirits would instantly leave Saul and Saul would be refreshed and well again.

Another story was when Paul and Silas were in prison and they started lifting praises up to God and an earthquake came that was so fierce that their chains fell off and the prison doors were open.

If you feel stuck and don't know why you still feel tortured everyday with things you want to be free from. If you want the shackles that devil uses to keep you bound to fall off and for your prison that you feel trapped in to open, consider what you are letting go into your ears. Just try for a month to only listen to praise and worship music and just watch and see how God turns things around. Some of you might have to praise in a storm, but that storm doesn't seem so scary when you are lifting up your voice to praise God, because when we lift up our voices we are drowning out all the other noise, and we are focusing our thoughts on God and not our situation.
