Four Mile Golf Course

We have to start today by going back to yesterday. And what a day it was!

The first of what will now be the Annual Glow Golf Tournament took place and over 90 participants had themselves such a fun experience. They came from places near like Canon City, kinda near like Pueblo, Westcliffe and Colorado Springs and kinda far like Buena Vista and Castle Rock all to have the best of times here at Four Mile. It was a scramble format where they competed for nothing but bragging rights and stories to tell at the end of the day.

One of the highlights was the first ever Four Mile Pitching and Putting Tournaments where Brendan and Aaron took home prizes for each of their teams. Make sure to ask Ken Berry about his 65 foot putt that got him into the finals 😀

The biggest of appreciation to Clint and Parker from Glow Vibe Golf who flew in from North Carolina on Friday via a six hour diversion through Albuquerque 😳 and to Beth at Pizza Madness for helping to sponsor dinner. The food was delicious as always and the glow golf was a one of a kind experience.

This post cannot end without the sincerest of appreciation to our staff here at Four Mile. Pulling off over 90 rounds of public play followed by a 90 member social event simply does not happen without their amazing work. From the grounds crew who did early morning double duty to prepare the course, to the morning starter and marshall who kept public play smooth and on time, to the cart kids who absolutely worked their tails off all day and night long, to our bev cart attendee who made what she’ll say a zillion trips inside to restock 😂 during her 12 hour shift, to our food servers who came back after working a regular day, to the closer in the proshop who did about four jobs at once including running the pitching contest, to our Sunday morning proshop person who on a day off helped with carts after playing in the tournament and finally to our GM who arrived just after sunrise and left well after moonrise after Glow Golf finished picking up their equipment on the course. This day simply would not have happened without their hard work and dedication in making Four Mile the amazing experience that it is.

Pretty sure we can chalk up number three of the Summer Social Series the same as the first two … a big success. Thank you to all of the golfers who came out to experience the Glow Golf Tournament and trusting your Saturday night to us. We say it so often because it is so true, there is nothing quite like Four Mile.
