Ever looked at a fluffy long-necked cutie and wondered, "Wait, is that a llama or an alpaca?" 🤔

You're not alone! While they look like cousins, they have some pretty cool differences..

🦙 The Ears: Llamas have long, banana-shaped ears. Alpacas? Their ears are short and pointy, kind of like spears.
⚖️ The Size: Llamas are the big bosses—they can weigh up to 400 lbs! Alpacas are much smaller and compact, usually around 150 lbs.
✨ The Vibe: Llamas are often used as guard animals because they are independent and brave. Alpacas are herd animals who are generally shy, gentle, and dynamic team players.
☁️ The Fluff: Alpacas are bred for their super-soft, cloud-like fleece, while llama wool is a bit more coarse.

Our baby goose learned to swim in the water dish. The other geese are keeping a great eye on her. They hatched a 2nd goose today. We put some eggs in the incubator last week and a baby chick hatched today.
