Sticky leaves. Black mold. Ants climbing your tree. Cars covered in a mysterious sticky residue.
These are all common signs of sap-feeding tree pests like aphids, spider mites, scale insects, whiteflies, adelgids, and psyllids.
While these pests are tiny, large infestations can weaken trees, distort new growth, reduce vigor, and create nuisance problems like honeydew and sooty mold.
In our series on tree diseases and tree pests, we're talking about sap-feeders this week, including:

Not all tree calls are about trees...
Last week, one of our arborists got a call from a teenager whose kitten had climbed a tree and couldn’t figure out how to get back down. After calling around without much luck, someone suggested calling SuperTrees.
So Aaron grabbed his climbing gear, set up the rigging, and went to work.
A little while later: one relieved kitten, one very grateful owner, and one more reason we’re glad our team knows their way around trees.
Trees are our business. Helping our communities is just part of who we are.
Big shoutout to Aaron for answering the call and making this rescue happen ❤️
Drop some love for Aaron (and the kitten) below 👇
