The environmental forces, economics, architecture, and industry that shaped them.
The vibrant communities and people who have called them home.
Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your own experiences as we discuss how understanding these distinct areas helps us better understand Cambridge as a whole!

Join authors Karen Weintraub and Michael Kuchta (Born in Cambridge: 400 Years of Ideas and Innovators) for a 90-minute walking tour west of Harvard Square. Together, we'll explore the incredible "literary-industrial complex" of our city, diving into the lives of authors like Harriet Jacobs, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and May Sarton.
Whether you’re a big reader, a local history enthusiast, or just want to chat about your favorite authors with fellow neighbors, come ready to learn and share your thoughts!
