Minding Making Project
student Sarah Anderson recreated the subject of her final project, "The Secret Map of Singapore," an object in and her hometown, as a way to explore how it was made but also scrutinize the connections implied. This act of making not only allowed her to confront a lot of Western misconceptions of Singapore, but study the object more closely to shape her ideas about how colonialism lives on through mapmaking.
