A Partnership for Success!
Exciting things are happening in the world of Agriscience! Two of our standout Calhoun High School senior FFA members, Naimah Nemorin and Trent Ferguson, recently took their research to the next level with a visit to Dalton State College, with the support of their teacher and adviser, Dr. Trish Williams.
The duo was hard at work on an intensive agriscience research project focused on measuring and analyzing caffeine levels in various energy drinks. To ensure their data is top-notch, they spent the day in the lab collaborating with collegiate experts to master the technical side of scientific testing.
This incredible hands-on learning experience was made possible through the continued partnership between Calhoun City Schools and Dalton State College. A huge thank you goes out to:
Aaron Broyles & Amanda Smith, DSC science staff, for providing expert technical assistance in running the tests and helping the students interpret complex results. Thanks also to Dr. Randall Griffus, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, for his support in fostering these academic connections.
We love seeing our students step out of the classroom and into professional laboratory environments. We can't wait to see the final results of Naimah and Trentโs research!

๐๐ Noniโs Nook at the Public Library โ Dr. Seuss Celebration! ๐ฉ๐
What a whimsical day at Noniโs Nook! ECE students from Calhoun College and Career Academy visited the public library to celebrate the birthday of the legendary Dr. Seuss, and they came ready to get into character!
Two of our students dressed as the iconic Cat and the Hat and Sam I Am, bringing big smiles and Seussian spirit to the celebration!
The group gathered to listen to the classic story Green Eggs and Ham laughing along as Sam-I-Am tried again and again to convince his friend to try something new.
After story time, creativity took over! The students used forks dipped in paint to create their very own Cat in the Hat masterpieces โ a fun and unique way to explore art while celebrating literacy.
It was a day filled with imagination, laughter, creativity, and a love for reading. Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! ๐
