GNTC Construction Management & Building Science

Several Region 1 high school students, who will be going to the State SkillsUSA Competitin later in February, were all here today on our Gordon County Campus for a “Mock” competition. The top 3 finalists from the region in 6 contests, got a chance to compete and practice fine tuning their skills to make a good showing in Atlanta in a few weeks. We had Cabinetmaking, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical Wiring, Masonry & TeamWorks. They all did a great job and look forward to seeing them compete at State. Today we highlight Francisco Triana. Francisco graduated from GNTC in May 2025. He is the Project Engineer for Reeves Young on the Water Treatment Plant - Chemical System Improvements project for Dalton Utilities.

Francisco is responsible for all the material and equipment submittals, RFI's (Request for Information) to the architect, coordination and scheduling for the subcontractors on site and making sure everything is being built to the plans and specs.
