So I had to skip a weekend but this weekend we got the ground tilled to mix in the compost and some miracle grow dirt. We also got a lot of plants in the ground including peppers, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and a bunch of others. We are putting them into quadrants but will be filling in excess space with different companion plants for each group. We also added blueberries and raspberries.

So mother's day weekend was a busy one. Lots of work to still do but I got a good start. Join me on my journey learning companion planting, regenerative ag, and better food options from my home.

Over the last 2 weekends I have been building and preparing a large portion of land on my property about the size of a residential front yard, to make my garden. (Pictures to come) the area in the center of my driveway will now be our garden. It is large and can hold a lot of plants but also has trees that were here when we moved in. I put up a fence to keep out the chickens and other animals. I filled it with compost. And now will add some planting soil and till it all in to mix it with the candy soil. This journey will include a lot of extras like equipment maintenance and repair. Planting (companion style) and the trials and tribulations i go through learning something other than the industrial ways of growing. Join me as it take this journey.
