Plated Picnics

It is with a heavy heart 💔 that we have decided not to operate Plated Picnics in 2022. Due to several factors, including team changes, new park permit structures, and the biggest reason: work-life balance, we are going to take a year to pause. Plated Picnics had huge success thanks to our partner vendors, clients and my INCREDIBLE event coordinator, Ashley! It was our best year yet! We couldn't be more thankful. So why would we stop now?

Let me explain! It was July 2019 when I officially started Plated Picnics. A month later I found out I was pregnant! After my daughter was born in May 2020, during the shutdown, yet I wasted no time getting back to work both for my company InnerSocial and booking events for Plated. I gave myself 1 1/2 weeks before I got back to work. The stress caused me mental & physical sickness and put my family on the back burner. Going into fall of 2020, I really ramped up our grazing boards, tables and boxes for delivery. I was spending my extra time fulfilling orders, delivering boards and setting up for events. There was little time left to be a part of my daughter's life or be a good wife. My biggest regret to date.

After stopping the food service, 2021 led to exciting new partnerships and a more streamlined (and fun!) picnic season. Partners like , , and so many others, made every picnic simpler. As did the HUGE blessing of adding Ashley to make Plated a 'team'!

Once we ended the season in Sept, I told myself I would take time to evaluate Plated. I already run a FT social media marketing agency that allows total autonomy and a comfortable income. I had to do some deep soul-searching and make hard decisions. I ultimately decided that my husband, my daughter and my health need to come first. I hope one day Plated Picnics will come back, but for now, I'm granting myself permission to step back and focus on my family and only 1 career.

Thank you to everyone who supported me! I still love Plated and happy to still host events for my family & friends. Cheers to all the memories & friends made along the way!
