✨ Meet Contestant #6, Laramie Reneau.

Laramie Reneau is the 17-year-old daughter of James Wight and LaDonna Thomas. She is a rising senior at Cairo High School. While she is still exploring the path she is most passionate about, she plans to continue her education after graduation and is excited to discover where her future will lead. No matter where that journey takes her, Laramie hopes to make a positive impact along the way.

Known by her friends as “Larry,” Laramie enjoys a wide variety of music, ranging from Drake to Pearl Jam. She is also a proud member of the Cairo High School Varsity Golf Team and is thrilled to be participating in this year’s Miss Syrup City Scholarship Program.

Laramie has earned numerous academic and extracurricular honors, including being named a Georgia Merit Scholar, qualifying for the state golf tournament for two consecutive years,receiving the Julien B. Roddenbery Literary Award, and earning a scholarship from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and has consistently maintained Honor Roll status throughout high school.

Outside of school, Laramie enjoys serving her community through her church’s children’s ministry at Pine Level. She also volunteers with her school’s Makers Market, assists in the school store, and participates in the annual Autism Awareness Family Fun Day event.

Laramie hopes to become Miss Syrup City so she can serve as a positive example for younger students and encourage them to get involved in the many unique opportunities their school and community have to offer. She looks forward to making the most of her senior year while continuing to inspire others through leadership, involvement, and service.
