Retro Rider Insulation Systems

If the EPA succeeds, Americans will be paying for decades. NERA Economic Consulting estimates that the Clean Power Plan will cost $366 billion and bring double-digit electricity-rate increases to 43 states. Regulators including the North American Electric Reliability Corporation warn that the plan could weaken the reliability of the national electric grid by forcing many power plants to close well before new ones can be built.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Yet
even the administration admits that the EPA plan will have only a trivial impact on the climate.
States Should Shun the EPA’s New Power Mandate Hal Quinn and Peter Glaser write in The Wall Street Journal about why states should shun the EPA’s new carbon emission rules for power plants.
PROUD TO SAY !
* Retro Rider Insulation Systems has provided grid lattice for pre-engineered metal building insulation for both new construction & retro-fit applications for over 30 years, with an excellent track record of successful projects. Also, our unique packaging method has made us competitive in most of the United States.
* We have noticed, local & national environmental concerns, have tightened up rules and regulations about green house gas, carbon emissions and the like, creating higher energy costs, placing strict regulations on energy companies such as coal-fired plants & others.
* We have given un-elected officials power to make new laws, (rules & regulations). Unfortunately, energy costs will go through the roof - (no pun intended).
IT DOESN’T STOP THERE !
* We know for years that metal building insulation has always been subject to rigorous testing:
Facing fabrics, adhesive applications& fiberglass condensation that conform to American Test Standards & Underwriting Laboratories Guidelines. Yes, tested again & again where we pretty much know the results by now, assuring a safe and effective product. New concerns now I am told by industry professionals that the apparatus holding up and supporting the already tested materials should also be apart of the testing procedure. Hence adding more expense for the end buyer. My point is we can not sustain all these cost increases, especially with the very soon to be unaffordable energy costs.
* I know in Arkansas, the EPA has shutdown all of our coal-fired plants in the southern part of the state. Our current energy costs depend greatly on that low-cost fuel for reasonable rates for consumers. Low cost coal fuel is a big industry in this state and all those jobs will be eliminated. Local energy companies are concerned about what impact this coal shut down will have soon the local economy.
* Fundamentally and still used today, is a simple banding system only to accommodate filling the purlin cavity with tested insulation fiberglass. The claims of the “Retro Rider System” not only provides ample lattice, insulates all secondary framing with a rigid board insulation encapsulated in the main channels, providing separation of metals and stopping the refrigeration effect through purlins and eave struts while controlling precision installation, ie; no measuring required cost effective installation.
I MIGHT ADD !
* The term “fall protection” comes to mind when considering an approach of insulating the metal building, great idea for the roofers. However, not so much for the installer of a grid system below the framing.
* With higher energy costs and higher cost of insulating materials, advancing compliance; many times will discourage investing a little more in the only part of your building that will give payback for the life of the building through lower energy costs.
IN CONCLUSION
* My claim is, the Retro Rider System has been a favorable product for over 30 years and will remain available for New Construction for those who favor the installation approach and aesthetics. However, we will always be “Grandfathered In” with retro-fitting application.
* As we watch our energy costs reach unaffordable levels, the building owner will always have the option to inexpensively re-insulate that existing building with tested metal building insulation installed over the Retro Rider System grid, increasing lighting by 30%; covering and insulating all secondary framing, providing that showroom look everyone will enjoy.
* Thank you for hearing my rant !
The Retro Rider system is an attractive grid lattice that is applied to the bottom fl**ge of a C or Z purlin of a pre engineered metal building. This aluminum channel is insulated with 2 # den. rigid insulation and receives transverse banding on 30" centers to allow retrofitting additional insulation materials to completely fill purlin cavity with .6 lb. den. fiberglass insulation with an attractive v***r barrier that is in compliance with industry standards. This will provide optimum "R" value for your building while increasing lighting by 35%, when installed in White. System is also available in Black. This process will save on your heat and air costs and pay for itself in time, while saving owner money throughout the life of the building.
If your metal building currently has no insulation, it will block the heat in summer conditions and provide warmer conditions in winter months.
System designed for new construction and retrofit applications.
