𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 We never got to share this, but it aged well! Cleaning out some of my drafts. 💜 This is real life with a c**t in training. When I say a mare peed in the alley next to him before he went in, that’s no exaggeration! He literally had to step over it going in and out of the alley. However I would 100% rather deal with it now, then in a few months when I paid a $5,000 entry fee. Luckily, he was a good boy, but these hormones are hard on them. I don’t care what he thinks, his mind better be on his work when that’s what I’m asking of him. Even the best minded stallions are still stallions and although owing a stallion has become like buying a French bulldog lately… not all stallions deserve to be or should be stallions. I think the best way to look at it is to say “why would I pick him over other stallions?” And then, if it doesn’t work out and I cut him, can I get my money back out? >>>NO MATTER WHAT, gelding should ALWAYS remain an option. If you own a stallion, he is YOUR responsibility. No one is going to treat you special or different because you own one. You can ASK for certain things but there is definitely no guarantee you’ll get it. Owning a stallion and not exposing them, like socializing a dog, is a disservice to that stallion. #redhotrunninghorses 09/26/2024
