This Memorial Day, Rocker Volunteer Fire District stands with our community in gratitude for those who never made it home and for the families who carry their memory forward.

Last night, members of Rocker Volunteer Fire District had the opportunity to attend a valuable training hosted by NorthWestern Energy focused on electrical and natural gas fire safety.
This class gave our firefighters a better understanding of how to safely operate around energized equipment, identify hazards, and respond to incidents involving natural gas. Trainings like this are critical for keeping both our crews and our community safe, especially when dealing with complex and potentially dangerous utility-related emergencies.
We appreciate NorthWestern Energy taking the time to share their knowledge and help strengthen our capabilities. Continuing education and hands-on training are a key part of what we do to stay prepared.

Today, members of Rocker Rural Volunteer Fire District were honored to stand alongside our neighboring departments—Boulevard VFD Butte Mt, Centerville VFD, Race Track Volunteer Fire Dept. , Floral Park Vfd , Walkerville VFD, and Home Atherton VFD—to help bring home a fallen hero.
After decades, WWII POW Henry Bordner has finally returned home.
It was a privilege to take part in honoring his service and sacrifice, ensuring he received the welcome home he has long deserved. Moments like this remind us of the deep history, sacrifice, and commitment that have shaped our communities and our country.
We are grateful to have stood shoulder to shoulder with our fellow departments and community members in paying our respects.

Yesterday, Rocker Rural Fire District responded to a vehicle fire alongside Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department and Boulevard VFD Butte Mt.
Our crew was on scene to support water supply operations if additional resources were needed. BSB crews quickly took action and filled the vehicle with foam, successfully suppressing the fire.
We appreciate the continued teamwork between departments to keep our community safe.
