Y'all, I can't wait to share the goodies I've been whipping up in my kitchen with you all at our bake sale on Saturday!

I typically only sell artisan sourdough loaves, but due to time constraints, make other sourdough items for bake sales and vendor events.

Sourdough banana bread. Not just banana bread with a little discard thrown in so I can pretend it's better for you. No, no. Legit, sourdough banana bread minis will be available Saturday, as well as the drool worthy Brown Butter Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies. You do NOT want to miss this! And the best part is you get to take home tasty treats all while supporting a good cause!

We're prepping for the bake sale this weekend! Working on signs today, including this great big readerboard at The Carpenter's Cup!

I'll be bringing Classic loaves for the bake sale, and probably a few other of my usual options PLUS specials I only do on occasion for bake sales and vendor events like Brown Butter Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Be sure to stop by, say hola to everyone celebrating 10 years of The Cup, and grab some goodies to support Officer Brown. Make sure you head inside and catch my kiddo whipping out his piano playing skills he hasn't touched in 6-8 months! He's a lot braver than I am! Hahaha

Hey Bakery Friends!

Just an FYI, I likely will not be baking this coming week (July 12-18) but you WILL still be able to get bread if you're in need.

I'm sure most of you have heard about what happened to Bates County Transportation Officer, C**t Brown! He had a hemorrhagic stroke on duty on the 8th. Recovery will be long and slow and he supports himself and his mother. Due to not having been on the job long, he doesn't have all the benefits he would eventually receive working there, so the sheriff's office has reached out and asked the community to help him out -- so that's EXACTLY what we're gonna do!

Saturday, July 18, starting at 11AM Black Dog Bakery will be in the parking lot of The Carpenter's Cup, along with at least 3 other local cottage/micro-bakeries (Sam's Bakery, Tater Lane Bakery, and Delightfully Gathered - An Allergen Friendly Bakery) having a bake sale to raise money for Officer Brown and his mother!

You'll find some of our regular offerings, as well as special extras we don't normally make!

At the same time James, with Bates County Redeemed will be grillin' up a storm in an effort to raise funds for Officer Brown as well!

So do not miss this!

Please bring cash you see fit -- this will be free will donations and I don't plan on having change available.

Help me out! I think it needs to be "peachier" -- I used more than twice the amount of freeze dried peaches as I do strawberries in my Strawberries & White Chocolate, but I'm still not quite tasting the peach. Is that right, or is my "COVID taste" at it again?

Good Pick-up Day morning, bakery friends!

I'm working to get everything baked this morning but just a heads up, I threw my back out yesterday (putting away the blender! Sometimes life feels so ridiculous and unfair! Lol!) so if I end up behind, I'm sorry! I'm moving S-L-O-W to avoid aggravating it.

I still have some loaves available -- 1 Double Chocolate ($10), 1 Sesame ($8 - SOLD) and 1 Classics ($7)!
