Prepping for the season goes far beyond time on the ice ❄️
Our figure skaters are training smart off the ice with eccentric and isometric full-body work to build strength that truly transfers.
Eccentric training focuses on the slow, controlled lengthening of a muscle—think lowering into a squat or controlling the landing phase of a jump. This improves strength, power absorption, and durability.
Isometric training is all about holding tension without movement—pauses, holds, and positions that build joint stability, control, and body awareness.
By varying and increasing time under tension, we challenge muscles in different ways, strengthen connective tissue, and prepare skaters for the demands of jumps, spins, and long programs.
More control. More resilience. More confidence heading into the season ⛸️💪

Nothing embraces our mantra better than athletes coming in when times have gotten tough.
The comeback isn’t easy, but it’s happening.
