Resuming our Senior Spotlight this week we start with Helen Pappas
Favorite Crew Memory?Rainy at Midwest 2024 with my straight four.
What are your plans after graduation? To study at Duquesne University Physicians Assistant Program
Do you have any message for your parents or coaches as you graduate? Thank you to all the parents (especially my own) and the coaches your support makes such a difference in our team.
What life-lesson did you learn through crew? perseverence, respect and a touch of competitiveness will help you to succeed
What is your proudest accomplishment? Racing my straight four at Mid-west and how to bow a straight four.
What will you miss about North Catholic? All of the Juniors, sophomores, freshmen and coaches.I will miss them so much.

Favorite Crew Memory?My favorite memory is qualifying and racing at SRAA’s my junior year in the 4+.
What are your plans after graduation? I am attending Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and will be on their D1 rowing team and majoring in communication and media.
Do you have any message for your parents or coaches as you graduate? Thank you to my family for always supporting me and to the coaches that have dedicated their time to help me succeed.
What life-lesson did you learn through crew? The life lesson I learned was “if you’re not early, you’re late.” and you’re capable of much more than you think.
What is your proudest accomplishment? My favorite accomplishment is placing 3rd at Midwest in the girls jr 4+.
What will you miss about North Catholic? I will miss my friends and the teachers that i have become close with over the years.

As we enter the final stretch it is time to recognize our seniors, we asked them to share a little bit about their time with our team. First up is Keira Krebs. Favorite Crew Memory? Hanging out with my friends at races and practices.
What are your plans after graduation? Attend the University of Louisville studying neuroscience while rowing.
Do you have any message for your parents or coaches as you graduate? To my parents: thank you for always being at races, being so supportive, and taking me to practice. To the coaches: Thank you for pushing me everyday to get better and better.
What life-lesson did you learn through crew? How hard work pays off and how important it is to keep going when it is hard.
What is your proudest accomplishment? Qualifying for Nationals at Midwest in 2023.
What will you miss about North Catholic?All the friends I have made here.
