If you have purchased a vehicle in a private sale, it is a good idea to have the door locks, and even the ignition, reprogrammed and rekeyed to prevent theft. No disrespect to the seller, but you have no way of knowing how many sets of keys are out there.

It is a good idea to review your security protocols periodically. During this process, check your facility door keys to make sure they all keys are accounted for. If you discover some keys are missing, have your locks changed immediately.
