A few years ago, I was attending a conference when a woman suddenly collapsed in a room of nearly 300 people.
Someone yelled, "Call 911!" ...but no one moved.
As a CPR, AED, and First Aid trained professional, I immediately recognized the problem. In an emergency, clear direction matters. You don't ask the crowd—you assign specific people specific tasks.
Thankfully, the woman was okay, but the experience left me wondering:
