Should have been a litter of all Amber (Silver Fawn). Will repeat to remove any uncertainty.
6 Amber
1 Champaign
3 Agouti?
Having trouble distinguishing Agouti from Wheaten Burmese. The ratio suggests these are Burmese though. Getting closer to definitively identifying Amber Burmese.

The Golden Gene is a rare gene that only expresses when present with the black eyed gene and agouti.
I believe that the black eyed gene is a shading gene on the burmese locus. I believe that albino, RED, and PED work on hair pigments in similar ways. While Burmese/BE only expresses on rats homogeneous for recessive c loci, it may be that PED and RED are extremely covered too by the Burmese/BE gene when also present on a rat homogeneous with a recessive c locus. My breedings suggest golden may just be RED or PED and only a bit of red shows through. More testing to come to prove it. But it would make sense why agouti needs to be present.
Picture of presumed A- Bubu c(h)c(h) pp where amber peaks out.
From breedings I firmly believe Burmese and the Black Eyed Gene are on the same locus.
Bu: Burmese
Bu(be): Black Eyes
bu: Red Eyes (unexpressed)
