Bella with the Broccoli! coming through with a big November harvest of everyone’s favorite brassica.
How can you get some of this stuff if you’re not a member of ICF’s winter share? By snagging some from our food hub! We deliver to all homes AND businesses in Burlington/Winooski/SB and offer pick-up at our hub every week. Also- we accept SNAP/EBT on all food we offer.
100% Vermont-grown/raised/crafted foods, baby. No farms no food!
This seems obvious but really, if you are able to get food from your local farmer, it’s the way to go. We have to build and sustain resilient food systems so we can continue to feed our communities and not rely on global supply chains that are disrupted by events out of our control. We are already seeing these disruptions - hello, covid, climate change (pepper and broccoli in November for example), wars, et cetera - and they’re not about to go away. Your dollar can and does impact local farms. Buy direct if you can, and/or buy from your local grocer (like us) if you can. Both are equally great options - diversified sales channels for farms provide different benefits and economic stability. (Retail = more gross $ but more work to move many small orders. Wholesale = less gross $ but less work to move large volumes of harvests quickly.)
Okay go enjoy that broccoli. Also: if you’re reading this and are experiencing challenges getting enough food, click the link in our bio to sign up for the thanksgiving Fair Share free csa pick-up, or come by every Monday for free meals from everyone eats, or send us an email at [email protected] to set up EBT payments for the food hub. Or DM us - we are here to answer any questions!

SHUUUK 🔥🔥🔥
🧐 ARE you looking for a fresh, pretty easy, kinda fast meal ???
🤔 ARE you looking for a way to enjoy a lot of tomatoes and peppers and onions peas season???
🤨DO you love fresh herbs and feta???
🤩Make shakshuka. For breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
You’re gonna cook sliced peppers and onions low and slow in a big skillet till soft.
Add some minced garlic, cayenne, cumin, and paprika. Let em permeate your house with delicious smells for one minute, then add a whole slew of rough chopped tomatoes.
Sim-simmer for 10 minish, stir in some crumbled feta, crack some eggs on top, and finish in the oven for 10 min at 375F.
Serve with your favorite bread (seeded baguette from Red Hen Baking Co.] pictured here) and a healthy topping of cilantro.
Okay enjoy!! Pro tip if you’re busy, make the saucy part in advance (a big ol batch if you’re smart), and use whenever you’re craving some warm, spiced stew.

🍇 GOOD GOLLY, THERE’S GRAPES! 🍇
Courtesy of our fruit farming friends at , there are gorgeous green grapes available in our market!
These are hardy, strapping grapes that thrive in a wide range of temperatures (like the ones we have in VT). Because of their fortitude, this variety was originally dubbed “Brian” (because, um, we guess all Brians are really strong and everyone knows that???) but everyone ALSO knows grapes CANNOT have male names, so Brianna it became! And Brianna, we salute! 🫡
They have a slightly tropical 🌴 flavor (kinda pineappley??) and are RATHER juicy and sweet! We’ve got a limited amount so swing on over to the shop and snag some for yourself!
Happy snacking :)
