Athletic Trainer Finder
07/13/2026
Last week I got one wrong.
I featured The Stone Clinic in San Francisco based on their benefits package. An AT with direct Bay Area experience reached out with context I didn’t have — local market norms, COL reality, and some reported history with the role. I published a full correction.
That’s the job.
This week: 147 new athletic trainer jobs and one of the most unusual AT roles I’ve ever seen on this board.
Fighter pilot human performance.
Yes, really. Full breakdown in the picks.
Also this week — I want to give a shoutout to Alicia Yamamoto, DAT, LAT, ATC for building the Concierge Athletic Trainer Network (conciergeathletictrainernetwork.com).
A directory connecting the general public directly with BOC-certified ATs in private practice. No referral. No middleman. No platform fee.
Every AT who lists on this platform is putting a direct dollar value on what we do — and asking the market to recognize it. That’s one of the ways we move this profession forward.
The picks this week:
💰 $69,600–$124,200 — ATH Trainer 3, UC Davis, CA
💰 $80,000–$90,000 + stipend — Director/Assoc Professor AT Program, SUNY Oneonta NY (PSLF eligible)
💰 $65,000–$75,000 — Performing Arts AT, Dean College, Franklin MA
💰 $60,000–$68,000 + relocation — AT Track & Field/XC, University of Vermont, Burlington VT
💰 $65,000–$70,000 — AT Onsite, Concentra, Blue Springs MO
💰 Fighter Pilot Human Performance AT — Threat Management Group, Aurora CO
AT Finder Talent Network had its first successful connection last week.
The network only works if ATs are in it. Free. Always will be: www.atcfinder.app

Last week, I shared where Athletic Trainer Finder was headed.
This week, it is live.
The AT Finder Talent Network is officially open.
This is the biggest step forward AT Finder has taken since launching.
The goal has always been simple: make the athletic training job market easier to see.
Now, we are taking the next step: making it easier to navigate.
AT Finder is working to build the largest database of live athletic trainer jobs, giving ATs one place to see what opportunities are actually available.
The Talent Network adds a more private way for athletic trainers to explore the market.
ATs can create a de-identified profile that shares what they are looking for: setting, location flexibility, relocation interest, salary expectations, schedule needs, career goals, and the support that would make a role worth considering.
No need to publicly announce you are looking.
That matters in a profession this small.
For employers, the Talent Network creates a better way to understand what ATs actually value.
Because posting a job and hoping the right athletic trainer applies is not a strategy anymore.
Better information.
Better visibility.
Better matches.
Less guessing.
Like everything I have built with AT Finder, this will not be perfect on day one.
There will be glitches. There will be clunky parts. There will be things that need to be fixed or rethought.
Good.
I would rather build, launch, listen, and improve than wait around for someone else to change the athletic training job market.
So here is my ask:
If you are an athletic trainer, create a profile.
If you are an employer hiring an AT, post your job for free for 30 days.
If something breaks or could be better, tell me.
This is version one.
But it is live.
Check it out: jobs.atcfinder.com
Also in this week’s newsletter: 214 new jobs on the board.
The largest single edition we have ever published.
Full breakdown and COL analysis included.
If you know an AT who should see this, share it.

The Los Angeles Kings just posted their Head Athletic Trainer position.
$200,000 – $230,000.
It is genuinely refreshing to see a professional sports organization post what a role like this actually pays. This is a clinical Head AT position — managing the daily health and medical operations of an NHL roster. And now candidates know exactly what it’s worth to the Kings before they ever submit an application.
California requires salary disclosure on job postings, so the Kings didn’t have a choice. But that’s exactly the point. When organizations are required to show their hand, this is what the top of the market actually looks like. $200,000 to $230,000. Bonus eligible. 401(k) with employer match. Eight years of experience required.
For context — the highest ceiling we have tracked on this board was a combined Head AT and Healthcare Administrator director role at Keck Medicine of USC at $240,240. The Kings posting is purely clinical. No director title attached. Just the job.
Imagine how many professional sports AT postings would look different if every state required the same thing.
This week’s Athletic Trainer Finder job board also includes:
💰 $68,848–$127,942 — AT, Loudoun County Public Schools, VA
💰 $75,462–$92,810 — Head AT, Alexandria City Public Schools, VA
💰 $80,000–$90,000 — Injury Prevention Consultant, Onsite Ergonomics, Portland OR
💰 $59,882–$83,689 — AT, Temple ISD, TX (no state income tax)
💰 $54,872–$82,340 — AT, Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Norfolk VA
At the other end of the board — an orthopaedic group in Maryland posted a role this week listing a BOC-certified athletic trainer and a medical assistant as interchangeable credentials at the same pay rate.
The ceiling and the floor of this profession showed up in the same week.

Not every week has a $240,000 salary or an NFL spotter role. This week was quieter. 121 jobs on this week's Athletic Trainer Finder weekly newsletter and job board. There were two postings that subscribers flagged and I went back for a harder look.
The first: A D-I Director of Sports Medicine reposted this week after sitting open for a month. Same job. Same salary. The market already answered. They reposted anyway.
The second: A Vermont hospital posted a BOC-certified AT role at $22–$26/hr. The Medical Assistant at the same clinic tops out at $28.52. Same building. Same surgeons. The MA needs a high school diploma. Vermont is just where this one happened.
Both are in the Worth Calling Out section at the end.
💰 $89,731–$120,245 — AT, Los Gatos-Saratoga HSD, Silicon Valley CA
💰 $46,665–$99,362 + PERS pension — AT, North Wasco County SD, The Dalles OR
💰 $55,000–$88,608 + $10K sign-on — AT, Elmira NY
💰 $74,700–$85,000 — AT, UC Berkeley CA
💰 $57,800 flat — AT Resident, The Steadman Clinic, Vail CO
💰 $40/hr + housing + meals — Wellness Director, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, MA
Also this week — NATA responded to Ipswich. For once it didn’t sound like the usual talking points. My take is at the end of the newsletter.
