So rewarding to see this multi-generational wedding triptych come to life! After a consultation and site visit, we mocked up what they would look like for the clients. Once approved, we printed and framed each portrait to match. Disclosure: this was actually the second set we produced since the first ended up too small for the space and didn’t show off the beauty of the images as well. We remade these custom sizes and are so excited to see when these are hung!

Yes, we are expecting! Our journey with this pregnancy has been a whirlwind. Partly because we were moving halfway down the state at the beginning. Partly because we are still between homes. Already having suffered a loss, we’ve been very nervous to share out of fear or real feelings (FYI, they don’t go away). As soon as the excitement started settling in and we thought we were “through the woods,” we ended up in emergency surgery after a routine checkup. Surgery sounded scary, but it was the best option and outcome we’d hoped for. I know, we’ll never stop worrying, but gosh, that was a week!

Today marks the beginning of week 24 for us. This is our first real milestone. These last few weeks have been unreal. Having reached this moment, we are ready to share this exciting news with everyone and can’t wait to fill you with more updates (sorry in advanced :p). We are so ready. Or as ready as we’ll ever be 😆.

‘Tis the season for babies! Say hi to Baby Jude... So lucky to have been able to photograph this little one recently! He is so adorable and alert already! I usually start with solo sleeping portraits, but we flipped it around with family because he just wanted to see everything first! Here he is sporting his outfit. Can’t wait to see him grow!

Can’t let day go by without a shoutout to this crazy lot. Definitely crazy, but I love them most days. :P.

Finally raining in SoCal again and it’s glorious! It’s still winter somewhere! As you can see, you might be seeing more of my travel and life photos that I’m finally going through. I’m taking the time to go down memory lane before rushing back on track :).

I gotta admit (not hard), it was very scary seeing the Covid #’s here in SoCal when we first moved. It’s getting better and the future is bright. As a small, creative business owner, it sucks. With that said, I’m scheduling a very limited number of sessions and can’t wait to connect with my clients a little more. Much love to all of the essential workers out there too. Let’s get through this together!

Growing up, my parents took me from one uncle’s house to another aunt’s house. We collected a bajillion🧧 and learned how to gamble with or (‘kids’ game using your red envelope money). It was fun in our younger days hanging out with a bunch of cousins - some actual cousins, but most were not. Growing older, moving further, and assimilating to western schedules, this happened less and less. My family continues to celebrate, but oftentimes it was just us. Now our immediate family is split west coast and east coast so it’s even harder. Technology helps, but there’s nothing like a pandemic quarantine to make one miss even the simplest of celebrations. As I look to the future of how I’d like my own family to celebrate, I have hope that we can get to a new normal soon and that hugs and indulging in all the new year foods is back on the table, literally!
