Biodiversity is a critical component of climate resilience.

Healthy ecosystems capture carbon, support soil health, retain water, and make farms more resilient to droughts, pests, and extreme weather.

And because so many textile raw materials begin in agriculture, biodiversity is deeply connected to the clothes we wear.

From pollinators and soil organisms to crop diversity and tree coverage, biodiversity indicators can help us better understand the health and resilience of farming systems.

On , it’s worth remembering: climate action and biodiversity protection cannot be separated 🌱

🔔The 2026 Textile Exchange Conference is now open for registration!

Bringing together leaders and experts from across the fashion, textile, and apparel industry, this year’s conference will explore The Implementation Era—how we can scale what works across businesses, supply systems, and landscapes.

Supported by the release of Textile Exchange’s new action pathways, designed to scale preferred cropping, recycling, and animal material production systems, the conference focuses on translating desired outcomes into decision-making.

📅 October 12–16, 2026
📍 Vancouver Convention Center, Canada, and online

We’re proud to welcome  as the title sponsor of the 2026 Textile Exchange Conference. Reju is helping to lead this industry-wide shift by scaling textile-to-textile recycling solutions designed to turn post-consumer textile waste into new resources. Its focus on innovative infrastructure and strong partnerships reflects the practical, system-level action this year’s theme calls for.

The 2026 Textile Exchange Conference is taking place on the unceded territories of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Textile Exchange recognizes their strength, endurance, and resilience and expresses solidarity.

We’re excited to bring the sector together to align individuals and organizations into a coordinated movement for climate, nature, people, and animals.

There are stories behind our clothes.

Unwoven is an editorial project by Textile Exchange that gathers stories from the source—tracing the materials in our clothing and textiles back to the landscapes, communities, and systems behind them.
