My brother joined us for a trip down memory lane where they roasted me for all of the ridiculous situations I’ve gotten the family into. Believe me, there are too many to count.

I was selling my house and a showing was scheduled, but I forgot! I had the family over visiting and we were all full and relaxed. Nobody wanted to leave.

So I devised a plan where we just find a hiding spot until the realtor and the buyers left.

Big mistake…

As you all know, I have not had the best luck with men. Not last year, not the year before that, not ever really. So I didn’t date for over 35 years!

A few years ago I decided to try again, didn’t go well. In fact, the last man showed his true colors when he got in my face and cornered me. I thought, well, that’s it, I am done.

Then suddenly, Gio put me on a cruise ship this month which I also did not want to do, because apparently I have to be dragged into every good thing that has ever happened to me.

Guess what?! I met someone.
Now I am not telling you it’s perfect or that I know how this ends. And yes, I might be sitting here with one eyebrow raised wondering what’s wrong with him…

But I got on that ship afraid and I came home with my heart a little more open than it was when I left, and maybe I’m silly at almost 80 years old to have butterflies in my tummy, but I have decided that is enough of a reason to try.

Anyway, It’s just one date.
