I’m SO happy it’s summertime❣️

I have been doing a balancing act for a hot minute between 4 kid’s activities and shenanigans, growing Bulverde Market Day, portrait photography services and self care (ya know, that important thing like exercise and healthy food!)… I have found that something is always last on the list. And I’ve also found that that’s ok! Something needs to be first and something needs to be last.

In all the hustle and bustle, it’s the little things we take for granted…. The things that always seem to be there. But when that thing is missing, we feel it. For me, it’s rest and quiet time. I forget how important it is to take time to just be. To look around and enjoy the laughter (or the silly arguments of kids, cuz Lord knows that can have some humor too!), to recognize the beauty of something that I pass by everyday, to cook, to dig in the dirt and enjoy nature…. To enjoy the simple things without an agenda.

So, thank you Lord for the recent rain, for the beauty that comes with “storms” and the washing clean it provides.
