Today we attended a memorial service to celebrate the life of Thomas Cooke, one of the founders of The Electrode Store who recently passed away at the age of 92 (pictured here with his late wife, Glennis). We learned that The Electrode Store was one of at least 57 entrepreneurial ventures that Tom had a hand in starting. Those of us at The Electrode Store are very appreciative of his life and legacy and offer our condolences, thoughts and prayers to his son Tim and other family and friends.

Prices Going Up January 1st, 2019: We have had only one other price increase to our main products in the past decade, but due to rising costs we are increasing our prices effective January 1, 2019. The average of the increases is 5%. A Price List showing the 2019 prices is available upon request.

If you aren’t already taking advantage of our dollar-volume discount program, we encourage you to give it a try – it’s one way to combat rising costs. The discounts are as follows, assuming prompt payments (within 30 days):
Orders over $1,000 up to $1,999: 5% discount
Orders from $2,000 up to $4,999: 7.5% discount
Orders from $5,000 and up: 10% discount

Many of our products have shelf-lives of 2-3 years, and some customers have found that if they pool their purchases into quarterly or annual purchases instead of monthly purchases, they can realize the volume-savings without having products expire before use.

We understand that price increases are not fun, but we are confident that our products are among the best in terms of value and quality. We sincerely appreciate you and thank you for your continued business!

Great picture of a dog getting his or her retina checked with an ERG-Jet contact lens electrode at the Animal Eye Specialty Clinic in the West Palm Beach, FL area. It doesn't hurt but the dog looks kinda nervous and cute at the same time!

Botulinum Toxin – Approved Medical Indications (USA)

In addition to their use in cosmetic or aesthetic procedures, various botulinum toxin products have been approved for medical/therapeutic indications in the USA for certain spasticity or movement disorders. The table below summarizes some of the top brands, such as BOTOX®, and the indications each has been approved for. This is for the US ONLY, and unless otherwise noted, the products are indicated for ADULTS and have not been approved for pediatric use.

The use of electromyographic-guided hypodermic needles (injectable EMG needle electrodes) is common for guided injections of botulinum toxin substances for the treatment of limb spasticity, cervical dystonia, and strabismus. EMG injection needles are occasionally used for detrusor overactivity, but are generally not used for blepharospasm, overactive bladder, chronic migraine, or severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis.

Each of the brands is a registered trademark of their manufacturer. This article is intended to be a summary and not advice or a recommendation for medical treatment; see the prescribing information available on the manufacturers’ websites or product packaging for more information. The Electrode Store is a supplier of needle electrodes and is not affiliated with or representing any of the botulinum toxin manufacturers or products
