We are so happy to share our first "Why I Run Wednesday" post. This week, we would like to take a moment to share what Megan Payne, the Team Captain for OUR House, had to say.

"I race with One Unique Recovery House to show that recovery from substance use disorder is possible. There is life, hope, and light beyond the darkest days. Every year, the spirit of RUN FOR IT can be felt throughout the mountains on race day. It's a feeling that's hard to put into words and one you won't soon forget."

"What makes this event so special to me is the sense of community. Organizations from all walks of life come together, each supporting a different mission, yet united by a common purpose - to make a difference. Together, we remind one another that change is possible, recovery is real, and when a community comes together, incredible things can happen."
