In case you missed it! The Pink Moon, also referred to as the Paschal Moon, occurred tonight, April 12th. Although it is called the Pink Moon, the lunar surface itself does not appear pink; rather, the name is derived from the pink wildflowers that bloom around this time of year, specifically Phlox subulata, according to Star Walk. Additionally, it is considered a micromoon because it occurs near the Moon's apogee, or farthest point from Earth.
