Texas Color Guard Circuit

TCGC is saddened to share the unexpected passing of Solomon Ruth on May 17, 2026.

Solomon had recently judged at Solo & Ensemble and was already making plans to remain involved in future seasons. Through his decades in TCGC as a performer, instructor, and judge, he impacted countless students and colleagues through his talent, mentorship, and passion for this activity.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue through the many lives he touched.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, students, and the entire color guard community.

The stars at night are big and bright! 👏👏👏👏

Happy Prelims Day to all of Team Texas! 38 incredible teams are taking the floor today and 22 of them are TCGC members. What an amazing representation of talent, passion, and hard work. TCGC is cheering loud and proud for every one of these fabulous groups.

TCGC celebrates the close of Black History Month. As an organization we must continue to work to be a place where underrepresented communities feel welcome and have a strong voice. We lift up every designer, teacher, and performer who inspire us to be better and keep diversity and inclusion a top priority.

Let us stand up for one another, celebrate our gifts and keep TCGC a place where everyone matters. It is our job to make this a year round mission and empower our youth.
