Obituary
Gladys Marie Damon-Harris was born in Brazoria County on February 15, 1938, to
Lula Belle and John Harris, Jr. She attended Bryan Independent School
District and graduated from Kemp High School.
She moved to California with her husband and three children in 1967 and worked
for Lockheed Martin Electronics for over 25 years. Upon retiring from
Lockheed, she returned to Bryan, TX and worked for Walmart for several years
before retiring. Her hobbies were sewing and fixing puzzles. She loved
spending time with family and cooking. Her handmade quilts given to family
will be forever cherished.
She was a faithful member of Endtime Evangelistic Pentecostal Church, and her
pastor was Bishop M. C. Williams. She served as an usher and was very
passionate about her faith and love for God’s people. Gladys is preceded in death by her father, John Harris Jr., her mother, Lula Belle
Harris and her sister, Billie Jean Hill. She leaves to cherish her memories, her
sister, Marion Chew and sister, Vera Ross, her three children, Charles Damon,
Brenda Nicholson and Gary Damon. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Obituary
Debra Ann Young was born on February 24, 1962 in Bryan, Texas to Johnny and Rachel Young.
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, Debra was called home to be with the Lord and Savior.
Debra attended public schools in Bryan, Texas. She enjoyed dancing and just being around family and friends. Her favorite song was “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Patricia (Author Gooden) and Gladys Young.
Debra leaves to cherish her memories: one uncle, Leon Williams; two aunts, Ammie Edwardes and Lessie Gulley; two nieces, Takeitha Gooden and Angela Walker; one nephew, Arthur Gooden, Jr.; four brothers; a host of other relatives and friends. two
Special Thanks to three wonderful women who were there for Debra in a very special way, Treat Hicks and Rosetta Jackson,” and to Hazel McGowan, who was a mother figure to her.
