Pictures of Mickey and I at TX Rose. Thank you Leah for the photos!
We had a great show at the June Meadow Creek.
Rommina finished on her dressage to win starter in Incauto HC’s first ever horse trial. She just added one rail to be 3rd in the Beginner Novice with Revel in his second event (shown in video).
Mickey was 3rd in the novice, only adding one rail to a winning 28 dressage.
Reatta and my Mom won the novice!
Mom also won the training on Lenny.
Brett was 4th out of 10 in his first training level with Finn, only adding a handful of planned time penalties to his dressage!
Leah only added one rail to her dressage in BGN. Catherine finished on her dressage in starter. Red and I did not have a great show on paper but I think he learned a lot.
Sophia did training dressage & show jumping with novice XC. She did great around a rough SJ course for her & her horse’s first time at the level and then finished with a beautiful double clear XC.

March was a busy month!
We went to the Meadow Creek schooling show with 14 horses and had 12 clear XCs! The two that were not were both me. I was the problem! Everyone else had a fantastic show!
Then we went schooling twice and did a jumper show. Had some great practice doing those things.
Then to cap it off we went to TX Rose this past weekend for the first recognized show of the year.
Brett finished on his dressage in the novice with Finn! My mom just added a hair of XC time with Lenny in the training and one rail to her dressage with Reatta in the BGN.
Nat R rode like a champ in SJ in her first recognized training to only have the first fence down. XC she got a little too tentative riding around her first really proper track, which resulted in a stop early on and quite a bit of time. As the saying goes, experience is what you get right after you need it!
I’m proud of her for regrouping and jumping around the rest of the course without problems. It’s not easy to produce a horse to training level without ever having gotten mileage from an experienced horse and I’m really proud of what she has accomplished taking her horse from off the track to this point.
Mickey and I had a stellar show, leading dressage with a 28 and just adding one rail to move us to 2nd. I’m making a lot of changes on my SJ riding and going through some growing pains with that. But this was the best XC I have ever had on him and overall his most confident show yet.
