The farmstand is super stocked and ready to bring you a little sunshine on this glorious rainy morning.

We'll be at the at the Salmon Creek farmers market with our friends from 11 to 3 PM today. See some of you there!

Getting from the field to market can feel like a monumental task some weeks. From bucket washing to long hot days of harvesting, to lifting 60 or so buckets of water in and out of the barn and from cooler to tables and back again. From kate night bouquet arranging to loading crates of flowers into the van in the morning, it can take a physical toll.

One of the best sights each week is pulling up at the farmers market and being greeted by the amazing market volunteers. Rushing in to help unload, usually with a smile and a renewing energy. So grateful for them and for the family on the farm end who help with all the last minute bits. Like tucking my water and snack into the van when I'm too busy to eat.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You all make such a huge difference!

Just a quick Wednesday morning update (someday I'll send out another newsletter 😉).

Tomorrow is the Salmon Creek Farmers Market at Legacy Hospital. We'll be right at the main entrance from 11-3. Come say hello and visit all our incredibly hard working vendor friends.

Starting the day off at the farmstand with just a few market bouquets and single variety bunches. Hoping to add more around noon. Tues-Thursdays are always the most slammed as we prep for market.

While it's tempting to wander, the farmstand garden (as pictured here), is still closed. A couple of reasons. 1) I haven't cleaned it up yet. 😵‍💫 Still lots of piles of stems and debris/weeds in the pathways. 2) Until our field dahlias are fully pumping, I'm relying heavily on the dahlias at the farmstand garden AND all the self-sown annuals in the walkways. Yep, I let some of them seed like mad and they're just too useful to for me to rip up for walking. Many of them are reaching maturity and are being harvested so I could have those areas cleared up soon. Think loads of nigella and cress pods for drying. 🤗

I have a couple ideas for that space which I'm still mulling over.

Thanks for being so understanding and encouraging!

❤️
