Casting your cares on Him.

In ones life when there are issues that they need to be dealt with there is generally multiple small problems surrounding the root cause. This is a tactic of the enemy to try to keep you from seeing the root cause (sin) from being exposed and dealt with.

Once the smaller problems are dealt with which usually are seen as symptoms of the root problem then you are able usually to see the root cause and repent of it. I have done this many times but sometimes when the root cause is exposed you still can't see how to break it off even if you do repent of it because the enemy or our flesh has b***y trapped the root cause to prevent you from succeeding.

When this happens you will need to do something a little bit different, you need to not worry about it or try to figure it out. This is a problem for God to deal with. You need to cast your care on Him and go on with life until He either takes it away or shows you what to do.

Casting your problem on God was difficult for me because I would try to figure it out but I couldn't and this caused me to go around and around the mountain trying to figure it out when that problem(s) were on a God level of understanding rather than a human level of understanding. So I have found it to be fruitless to try and figure it out. So I finally learned to cast my cares even if I continued to do what the problem was.

I have learned a few things. Usually after you cast your problem God doesn't fix it overnight. He can and will on certain things that come up but for those problems that have plagued you for years He generally does it differently.

What He will do is train you in a few ways as you allow Him to fix the problems. Waiting is one of the things. Waiting causes patience and long suffering. Waiting builds trust in God. Waiting helps us understand that God's ways are not our ways and causes us to lay the problem down and enjoy peace while He fixes your problem.

One problem that commonly occurs is we have a tendency of giving it to God and if it isn't fixed right away we pick it up or take it away from God and try to figure it out because God is too slow. This is a sign of little trust that God can fix it. But we must leave it in His hands for it to be fixed.

So what I am now doing is casting the problem on God and trying not to do what I was doing as the problem but if I do the problem then know that God is working on it and you can just go on and enjoy life until He fixes the problem and know it is His hands to fix. Also knowing He knows you need this fixed and He has much love, grace and forgiveness toward you in what you have casted on Him. Be at peace and wait upon the Lord. The peace that passes all understanding will reside on you.

Things God will give you. Matthew 6:33. Today I was looking up scriptures to combat worry which lead me to Matthew 6:25-34 and as I got to verse 33 I began to think about the things He would give us. As I thought I began to realize that Jesus said to seek Him first and His righteousness and these things will be handed unto me.

The key is to seek the Lord and His kingdom not seeking the things.

I have looked for the things and here of late they have only been things of necessities such as food, clothes, important bills but that isn't what the scripture said to seek. It says to seek God. If we seek God and His righteousness then according to His Word He will give us what we not only need but want.

Throughout the scriptures it shows that if we diligently seek God and His Word we would prosper.

Psalm 1 talks about prospering by meditating on His Word day and night.

Hebrew 11:6 talks about he who draws near to Him must believe He exist and that He rewards those who seeks Him.

Throughout the Word it talks about the rewards of drawing near to Him and prospering.

So if you are needing things ask God for what you need and seek Him. Do this day and night and do this 8 days a week.

Jesus says if you will abide in Him He would abide in you.

If you have recently learned to lean on God and not on your own understanding but you find yourself back to trying to figure it out. Give it back to God and don't fall to condemnation. When we fall unless you have already learned this don't get condemned. Satan and yourself has a tendency to try and condemn you. Just cast it down and give it back to God. Cast your cares on God and He will sustain you.

Weeds.
When you have pretty flowers that come up in a place where it doesn't suppose to be it is called a w**d. It may be pretty but it isn't what you want therefore it is the same as a w**d.

This is also the way it is with things that come in your way of reading and studying the Word of God.

I have been watching shows on repairing homes and flipping houses while I eat my supper but each night I do this I begin get bad evil forebodings as I watch these shows. Is there evil about these shows? Not that I can tell. But they don't align up with me when I sit down to pray or read the Word and a picture of one of those shows pops into my mind and without thinking about it I stop praying or reading and begin thinking about what was on that show.

In itself nothing is wrong with the show. It is just a easy thing for the enemy or my flesh to pop into my mind when I am focusing on the Lord. These thoughts are mental w**ds. They hinder my walk and path with God.

I have always wondered why I can read the Word and not know anything I read when I am through. It is because even though I am reading it I am thinking about something else.

The only way to get rid of the spiritual w**ds is to get rid of the source.

For me it TV shows, but for others it could be reading books that aren't good for you. Only you know what they are. Ask God to show you your w**ds and ask Him to help you overcome those w**ds.
