🗣️ Speak up for private dock standards that protect our marshes: Comment to CRD by July 24!

GA DNR's Coastal Resources Division (CRD) has released a draft rule to codify the standards for private recreational docks. Unfortunately, some elements of the draft rules put our marshes and our coastal species at risk in favor of extra-large docks for golf cart access.

⚠️ In particular, this new rule abandons the longstanding 3,000 square foot maximum. The draft proposed to allow docks up to 1,000 feet long and six feet wide—as long as the tallest skyscraper in the Atlanta skyline 🏢
