Today, I had the opportunity to throw down some serious miles with some absolute units at the 5K repeater challenge— 12X 5K, starting each 45 minutes.

I used to pray for days like this: surrounded by men getting after it and pushing themselves, surrounded by pure joy and life, surrounded by love.

Through the ups and downs of training and injuries, it is days like today that remind me it’s so much bigger than myself. The times, the gains, the PRs— they pale in comparison to the blessing of the fitness community.
