Let’s hem some curves easily, just follow my lead 🫡 Circle skirts and deep curves are notorious for their hemming difficulty as the length of the curve varies across the hem, therefore you often end up with tucks and pleats across the hemline. Here’s a step by step guide on how to hem curves. 1. Sew a basting stitch around 1cm from the edge of your curve. A basting stitch is a long length stitch with no back stitching. 2. Double fold that fabric, using the basting stitch as a guide, and pin the fabric down. 3. Pull the basting stitch, either from the top or side, here you’re easing the fabric in, kind of like gathering, but more subtle. 4. Sew your hem, and give it an iron. Ironing is key to making your hem look flat and smooth! #teaganjacobs
