Hernando County Fire Rescue

Friday afternoon, July 17th around 3:15pm HCFR responded to the 12000 block of Elmore Drive in Spring Hill for a residential fire. Crews arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the roof of the residence. Firefighters quickly determined the fire was contained to the attic and extinguished the flames. All occupants evacuated the home prior to firefighters arrival. No injuries reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be from a lightning strike.

HCFR is on scene of a vehicle crash at Northcliffe Blvd and Maldive Ave in Spring Hill. All eastbound lanes are currently blocked. One patient is being transported to a local hospital. Expect delays until the crash is cleared.
