Looking is important because the number one rule when buying art is to buy what you love. You can’t know what you love without having determined what you love and you do that by looking. Buy what you love. Don’t try to “game” the art market or buy with an eye on reselling for a profit. That ecosystem only exists in the upper echelons of the art world." -
