Small biz wonderings...
Usually I'm opening up my Etsy shop this time of year. But I got off that platform (FREE 🍉🇵🇸🍉) and haven't found a good replacement.

I'm in an even more vulnerable financial situation than in previous years. I'm behind about $10k in rent, and I don't know how to even begin to get myself out of this hole. I've picked up some seasonal work so I can't do holiday markets on weekends. It's been a struggle every day, and honestly I'm exhausted.

If you have suggestions on a low lift platform for my silly little crochet creations, please drop them below.

I am excited to be part of The Lay Out’s ByBLK Holiday Marketplace at Atlantic Terminal. They’re partnering with one of the busiest shopping centers in Brooklyn for FIVE WEEKENDS beginning next weekend, Nov 25th on . Over the 5 weekends, 70+ amazing Black-owned brands will be alongside the national brands in Atlantic Terminal, serving the tens of thousands of shoppers that come each weekend. To find me, enter the mall between Sephora and Guitar Center and we’ll be in the main area of the mall where the MAC kiosk used to be.

I have a conundrum.
I am doing fall and winter market prep, and I'm using my knitting machine to make hats and scarves. Something that I know is popular in a lot of markets are hats and scarves in house colors. Now, JK Rowling is a raging transphobe and I'm not interested in supporting her work. However I am a black q***r femme who would like to make money. So do I make hats and scarves and house colors, and potentially signal to other q***r and trans folks that I agree with the politics of the creator of Hogwarts, or do I potentially lose money by standing in my values?
