As we wrap up ten years of GRT we wanted to take a moment to reflect. Having started in a windowless room above a gin distillery in industrial Greenpoint we are now a team of 12 with offices in Brooklyn, Connecticut, and Mexico. We have worked on over 110 projects that range from hand-made brass hardware to ground-up houses, cultural institutions and a 500-unit apartment building. Here are some highlights marking milestones in our practice. For more detailed updates and a peek at what’s to come, sign up for our end of year newsletter here or follow link in bio:

Everybody likes a nice piece of brass. We sure do. And we can confidently say with our choice of hardware, there isn’t a brazen stunt left to pull.
Case in point: our collaboration with a British hardware manufacturer izé on a cabinet pull that would be simple to make and create unique figures when grouped. Created for our Prospect Lefferts townhouse, we’ve since used these same pulls in our Harlem Rectory project, where our infatuation with brass takes new forms, including organic door handles by Nairy Baghramian and a custom pull we had made for the fridge.

From restored brass hardware to carefully chosen period lighting, every detail honors the house’s character. Built by
