I’m not just shooting and hoping something good happens. I’m guiding every single moment, where your chin goes, how your hand rests, what happens when you shift your weight from one hip to the other. Small adjustments that change everything.
Most people come in nervous. That’s normal. My job in the first few minutes is to lower the temperature, get you moving, get you laughing, and then start layering in direction once your body isn’t bracing anymore.
By the middle of the session something shifts. You stop waiting for instructions and start trusting the process. That’s when the real images happen.
This is the part of my job that doesn’t show up in the final gallery, but it’s the whole reason the gallery looks the way it does.
