4 months until we celebrate 60 years. On Juneteenth, that countdown means something specific: every year UPROSE has existed is a year this community refused to wait for permission, for funding, for anyone’s approval — and organized anyway. We’re counting down to honor that.
On Juneteenth, we remember: nothing about our freedom was handed down. It was built, fought for, and claimed.
