Winter Recess Camp: Around The World! This week, our students explored international creativity by creating projects inspired by artists from around the globe. 🌎 ❤️

It’s Kawaii Pop week! Today’s project was inspired by Takashi Murakami ; The kids hand stitched pillows using felt, embroidery needles and thread❣️

Our first week of summer camp was out of this world! 🚀🪐 Our art astronauts explored so many mediums and used their new skills to make galactic printmaking masterpieces on paper, embroidered constellations on painted fabric, ceramic hand built UFOs, and plaster aliens! Our campers creativity extends to infinity and beyond and we can’t wait to see what they all get up to in our upcoming camp weeks!💫

Au revoir Spring Break 2025! Our week may have been spent in our beloved Brooklyn studio, but our imaginations were inspired by contemporary artists represented by Parisian galleries. Our days were spent handbuilding ceramic doughnuts in the style of Marion Charlet, creating mixed media surreal landscapes motivated by the work of Mercedes Semino,and painting, painting, painting. We had a wonderful April in Paris and are excited for a beautiful end of school year here in New York 🌸

Wonderful works in progress here at CBK!💫 We love experimenting with different materials like plaster, paint pens, linoleum and more to crate unique, expressive works of art. Exploring new mediums and techniques fills our students creative tool belts and fills our days with colorful fun.
